An update from our staff...
Hi everyone! As a country we are now into our third week of social distancing measures; how is everyone finding life? We hope you’ve been able to choose gratitude at times when things have felt frustrating, to stay connected with loved ones and to find some enjoyment in each day!
Unsurprisingly, it’s a very strange time for us at WCYP. As youth and children’s workers we are naturally sociable, extroverted and energised people and we are finding it hard not being able to have fun with you all! But we are keen to do our bit, and by staying at home we are all helping to put a stop to this virus spreading.
Technically, for the time being, our staff have been ‘furloughed’ -which means we are all going to be taking a break from working while these restrictions are in place.
But rest assured that while our actual face to face youth work is being put on pause for the time being, WCYP will be back as soon as we are able to be!
Having a bit of time and space to slow down can be a great opportunity to reflect and think about things differently, so if, during this time, you have any ideas about new activities we could run when we reopen… new ways of running clubs, new trips or anything, please leave us a comment!
In the mean time, take care!
