Easter Spotter

Collective Motion Dance presents - Stepping into Stories 'Hop Little Bunnies'

Join the fun for Collective Motion Dance’s 'Stepping Into Stories' in the Easter Holidays. This book-based online dancing class will get the whole family moving, from the comfort and safety of your own home! This class is aimed at confident walkers through to year 2 children. £5 per family - 13 April.

Amazing Egyptians Online

Travel back to the Land of the Pharaohs in this fun-filled exploration of all-things Ancient Egyptians with SeaCity’s resident Egyptologists! Decode hieroglyphics, witness mummification for real and discover stories of curses and gods! This session is designed for children aged 6+. £7.50 per device - 14 April.

Abstract Art for Kids - Online Art Class

Join the Gallery learning team to explore some of the abstract art in our collection through quizzes, games and drawing challenges – then create your own masterpiece. Session designed for children aged 7-12, but children of other ages may also enjoy it. £7.50 - 15 April.

Learning in Libraries - Doodletastic!

This family course (for children aged 8+) is ideal for those who are new to using doodles creatively or wanting to build their skills and confidence. £10 per ticket - 15 April.

Friday Night Football

Informal 5-a-side football for boys and girls of all abilities, aged 10-19. £1 per session, no need to book, simply pay as you go 49 weeks of the year. Sessions generally consist of 5-a-side matches and led by qualified coaches, but content is led by participants. Sessions in various locations - from 16 April.

Tudor House History Club

Mondays from 19 April to 24 May, 4:30pm, £7.50 each or £30 for all six sessions.

Step back in time and discover Southampton’s past at our online history club! Each session explores a different historical theme; from marvellous medicine to fantastic fashions, through activities, stories, crafts and quizzes. The sessions are planned with 7 – 12 year olds in mind, although children of different ages may also enjoy them.

Ali's Summer Art Club: Six Week Course

Wednesdays from 21 April to 26 May, 4:30pm, £7.50 each or £36 for all six sessions.

Relax and unwind after school with a weekly dose of arty fun. From Leonardo da Vinci to Louise Bourgeois, young people can explore a fantastic range of artists and artworks through games, drawing challenges and projects at this Wednesday afternoon club. Sessions are designed for 6 - 12 year olds although children of other ages may also enjoy them.

Learning in Libraries - Let's Get Ready for School!
(Ok, this one isn't exactly for kids...)

The course is for any parent, guardian or carer who has a child starting primary school in September; to help prepare you and your child for a successful start in Year R in September. Free to attend, 12 May-23 June.

A fun family session with activities to help you learn how to paint ceramic and glass items, upcycle items from the home. This workshop is for parents/carers and their children aged 6+. £10 per family - 22 May.

Audio Adventure: Another Planet

Ever wondered what it would be like to travel through space? When you buy a ticket for Another Planet Hampshire Cultural Trust will mail you a package containing everything you’ll need to create your own interplanetary adventure. They need the bravest galactic explorers for a mission to investigate Another Planet and find out if humans could survive there! Suitable for children ages 7+. £10 for a pack (free tickets available for low income families - see details on the website) - 29 May.

Southampton Docks Cruise to see cruise ships in berth

Join SS Shieldhall for their first family cruise of the 2021 season as they explore the Southampton Docks. This is an ideal cruise for families, with a heavily discounted price for children and the perfect introduction to life on the water! We will pass close to the cruise ships Celebrity Silhouette, Grand Princess, Iona and Oceana in berth. Family ticket £56 - 29 May.

Open Air Cinema

Royal Victoria Country Park's Open Air Cinema will feature showings of Grease! Sing & Dance-A-Long, Jaws, and Dirty Dancing. You can expect a stunning venue, beautiful sunsets, fantastic drinks, delicious food, friends, family, loved ones and of course, a stellar line up of the finest films, back on the big screen for some starlit movie action. 29-31 July.

Family Summer’s End Picnic with Fireworks

Celebrate the end of summer with an open-air picnic concert that concludes with a spectacular firework finale, as well as children’s entertainment, circus skills and pond dipping, all set in the beautiful Gardens. Tickets starting at £12.50 - 28 August.

Mayflower 400

To commemorate the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower, Mayflower 400 Southampton have created some activities to help children learn more - you can find these here.
