We’ve received a welcome financial boost this month (May 2019) thanks to a £2,500 grant from Allchurches Trust.

Our Project Manager, Libbi Hammond, who is based at our offices at The Venny at Weston Adventure Playground (WAP), explained: “We’re very grateful to Allchurches Trust for granting us £2,500 for our faith programme.

“The grant will give staff members opportunities for greater training in specific areas relating to our faith programme and allow us to buy some new equipment to enhance what we are able to provide for the young people who attend our Faith groups.

“As a non-profit organisation, we have to raise all our own funds to do our work, so assistance like this is vital. We can find it hard to source funding for specific activities, so were especially pleased when we heard Allchurches Trust had awarded us this grant.”

Allchurches Trust is an independent charity regulated by the Charity Commission. Its funds come from its ownership of the Ecclesiastical Insurance Group, a specialist insurance and financial services company.

Since it was founded in 1972, it has given grants totalling more than £171 million.

Allchurches Trust grants officer, Paul Playford, said: “At the heart of our grant-giving is helping people and communities most in need. WCYP is helping young people to become valuable members of their community and feel valued themselves as a result. The charity supports schools, colleges and other groups to help young people reach their full potential and we’re delighted to be able to support them.”
