May half term is nearly here so we've rounded up all the crazy fun to be had across Southampton and beyond throughout May and June. Boredom? No thanks 🙅

 

Southampton's Platinum Jubilee Beacon Trail

Located around Southampton are seven magical characters on a day trip from Buckingham Palace. Join Sir Barnaby Beacon on the trail as he visits his friends, you’ll be able to see them augmented reality, decide what happens next in the story and even win a free digital fun pack at the end. Not only that, but each of the characters will tell you about a decade in The Queen’s historic seventy-year reign. Free to attend, running until 12 June.

Mini Monets - Art Club for 4 - 6 year olds

Join artist Debra Marsh at a monthly art club to experiment with different art styles, techniques and materials in a fun and accessible way; a great way to encourage your child's creativity without making a mess at home! £7.50 per child and accompanying adults free, monthly (next session Saturday 28 May).

Hares of Hampshire

For ten weeks the streets, parks and public spaces will be brought to life with a drove of Hares and their young Leverets sculptures, creating a free, fun, family-friendly trail of discovery for everyone to enjoy whilst exploring Southampton and Winchester. Each sculpture will be sponsored by a business and individually designed by an artist – either well-known or just starting out, from Hampshire or further afield. 16 June - 25 August.
