Bouldergang

Mondays 3:15-5pm

at Holy Trinity Weston

Bouldergang is our faith afterschool club for 7-11 year olds (school years 3-6) that runs Mondays 3:15-5pm at Holy Trinity Weston. We have 45 minutes of free time with a tuck shop, free toast and milkshakes, board games, Lego, craft and sometimes other activities too. We then have an hour of group games, craft and learning from the bible together. It is 50p a session but free for the first time.

Resilient Kids

Tuesdays 3:15-5pm

at the Venny

Resilient Kids is a referral-based group for children. The group prioritises helping children to develop their confidence and resilience through a programme of activities and discussion topics. The small group environment is particularly focused on supporting children who may struggle with their emotions or behaviour, especially in bigger groups, helping them to learn social skills and to consider others. This group takes the form of a termly programme, providing a certificate for children upon completion of the course.

Rock Solid

Wednesdays 4:30-6:30pm

at the Venny

As our biggest group, Rock Solid provides a safe space for children to socialise, play games, run around, do crafts, purchase tuck, and have fun. It is an open-access group meaning children can arrive and leave whenever they like during the session, however, they do need parental consent to leave without an adult. Its free for their first session, then 50p per session.

Messy Church

Sundays 4-5:30pm

at Holy Trinity Weston

Messy Church is a monthly interactive family service based at Holy Trinity Weston. We do crafts at the start, then come together for a short fun service learning about the bible through games, songs, comedic sketches and more. We then share a meal together. Its completely free and children need to be accompanied by an adult. It runs on the first Sunday of the month and starts at 4pm.

TRINITY KIDS

Sundays 10-11:30am

at Holy Trinity Weston

Trinity Kids is Holy Trinity Weston's children's groups that run druing the 10am Sunday morning service. Whilst it is techinically a Holy Trinity group, we know you'll enjoy it (and it is still led by WCYP's Youth Pastor). The kids are split into two groups based on age where they learn about the Jesus and the bible with games, craft and snacks.

Drawing & Talking

Weston Primary Schools

Our Children's and Families Coordinator, Debbie, runs Drawing and Talking sessions for pupils at Weston Park Primary School. Drawing and Talking is a therapeutic intervention which can be used with children, young people and adults.

The enjoyable and accessible sessions enable children to begin to understand and express their emotions more fully, helping them to be more at peace within themselves and the world around them. There are different approaches to suit the individual including 1:1, sand and group work.

PRIMARY SCHOOLs' work

Our team also support the local primary schools through mentoring, assemblies (faith and non-faith), and group work. â€‹

FAMILY work

Various

We are passionate about making a difference in Weston, and that includes supporting parents, carers and family members; not just their children and young people. We have supported local families in different ways in the past, such as facilitating meetings, running family trips and organising community events. One of the most significant ways that we have done this recently is through working with local churches and organisations as 'Love Weston' to run community events, such as at Easter and Halloween.

DETACHED YOUTH WORK

Various

Detached work is where some of our team go out into the estate, meeting children, families, and young people in parks and around the neighbourhood to get to know them, finding ways to support them and let them know about our work and other services that might benefit them. We do this in the warmer months when more people are out and we enjoy having a mobile presence in our community. If you see us about, come and say hello!

TRIPS

Various

We run a variety of amazing trips throughout the year for children and families, taking a group for fun trips to places like Playzone, Ninja Warrior, and Marwell. Trips provide children with new and exciting opportunities for activities, to develop friendships, and to learn new skills. Come along to our groups and follow our social media pages to look out for our next trip!

Residentials

Various

In the past, we have run a variety of amazing residentials for children to exciting places like YMCA Fairthorne Manor. Residentials provide children with new and exciting opportunities for activities, as well as to develop friendships, learn new skills, and develop their independence. We hope to be able to run more Primary residentials in the future!
